Premier Digital Dentures

SmileFaith Dental Labs create digital dentures by scanning the upper and lower arches of your mouth, taking a bite registration by having you bite into a material that records your correct bite, they will with your help, choose the correct shade and size of your teeth then they will begin the custom design of your digitally created dentures. Typically, this process from start to finish can take 2 to 4 appointments depending on your particular need for a complete set of digital dentures. Sometimes when a patient has teeth that are decayed or broken and need to be removed “before” the denture can be placed a “healing denture” may be in order. What this “healing denture” sometimes known as a “temporary” denture does is allow healing of infected bone and/or gum tissue to heal over a period of 3 to 6 months depending on your particular case. With patients that have unusual anatomies in some cases a “custom tray” to create a denture may be in order per arch.

Single Denture

SmileFaith Dental Labs create a digital denture by scanning the upper or lower arch of your mouth, taking a bite registration by having you bite into a material that records your correct bite, they will with your help, choose the correct shade and size of your teeth then they will begin the custom design of your digitally created denture. Typically, this process from start to finish can take 2 to 4 appointments depending on your particular need. What this “healing denture” sometimes known as a “temporary” denture does is allow healing of infected bone and/or gum tissue to heal over a period of 3 to 6 months depending on your particular case. This donation is separate from the final or permanent future denture. With patients that have unusual anatomies in some cases a “custom tray” to create a partial denture may be in order.

Partials

SmileFaith Dental Lab creates Partials by either a digital scan or taking an alginate impression of your upper or lower arch of your mouth, recording your correct bite and, with your help, choose the shade and size of your teeth. Some partials have metal framework and others have acrylic all depending on your particular case. Sometimes when a patient has teeth that are decayed or broken and need to be removed “before” a partial denture can be placed a “healing partial denture” may be in order. What this “healing partial denture” sometimes known as a “temporary” partial denture does is allow healing of infected bone and/or gum tissue to heal over a period of 3 to 6 months depending on your particular case.

Reline

A Reline is when a hard or soft material is placed inside of the full or partial denture to create a more
secure fit for ill-fitting dentures or partials. When necessary there are a few types. Relines that requires
lab assistance. When our lab has created your partials or dentures “any” reline, or adjustment is included for the first 30 days. In some cases, a Rebase is in order. Although it is rare for the entire base of a denture or partial to be made this usually occurs in instances where for example a person has lost a tremendous amount of weight or has severe bone loss due to osteoporosis.

Root Canal

A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed, and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form. Anterior teeth (front teeth) typically have 1, bi-cuspids (pre-molar) typically have 2, Posterior teeth (back teeth or molars) typically have 3 and sometimes 4 canals.

Fillings

composite (tooth colored) filling is used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, fractures, etc. The decayed or affected portion of the tooth will be removed and then filled with a composite filling.

Simple Extraction

Simple Extraction, when it comes to an extraction for the patient nothing is simple! This term simply
indicates that the tooth is easily accessible and requires less effort to remove no cutting or drill is used in its removal.

Surgical Extraction

Surgical Extraction, when the tooth requires “surgery” that simply means some form of cutting or
drilling is needed to successfully remove the tooth with as little trauma to the surrounding bone and/or gum tissue as possible.

Cleanings

Cleanings (Prophy) polishing and flossing is typically performed by a dental hygienist. Sometimes debridement (scaling) or deep cleaning (Scaling & Root Planing) needs to be done. Having periodic cleanings is imperative to good oral and overall health.
